“Sometimes a cigar is just …”
Not so! for cigar aficionado Julian Zadorozny, assistant manager of La Casa del Habano. He’s not your average judge of fine cigars: His training took him to Havana where he studied all there is to know about the life and business of cigars – from growth to production/ from seed to fermentation to box – and, he is more than happy to share his knowledge with every customer! He even gives art of smoking classes to interested groups.
He is big on debunking the demonizing of cigar smoking: It is a refined, sensory experience and in balance (he is a healthy 10K runner) is so worth it. Julian shares his expertise and opinion: A great cigar is best when paired with the sweetness of a Tawny port, a fine rum, or excellent chocolate. His personal favourite is a Bolivar Belicosos Finos; he’ll help you find yours – with pleasure!
The ambience in La Casa is intimate, British old club comfortable. The store is owned by Toronto-based Havana House.
