COCO ESPRESSO BAR

COCO Espresso Bar | 75 Yorkville Ave.

Raffaele Bettalico

Love this man!  His exuberant, distinctive Neapolitan “ciao” greets you as you enter.  He’s most at home at COCO (even more so than his 5 other Toronto restaurants!).  Raffaele’s mission: to bring Italy’s signature ambience of camaraderie and friendship to the cafe experience and for 10 years he’s been perfecting the dream!

Even though the place is not more than 300 sq. ft. it’s always a party with the dynamic Raffaele who treats everyone as family.  He sees Yorkville as a “village”- an initially “icy” place that has evolved into a warm, exhilarating community – where he, his beautiful wife and young son reside and where he passionately practices his own dictum of “Let’s melt the ice!”

COMING SOON TO YORKVILLE:

Again with Raffaele’s pledge to be faithful to the spirit of Italy, the Salumeria Presented by COCO will be opening soon in Yorkville with its offerings of the freshest meat/cheese sandwiches, wine and beer in a casual, rustic setting.  We’ll be first to let you know the date of the opening!

Words to Live By:

“Let’s melt the ice!”

“Quality is everything!”

“Ciao Bella!!”

Pet Peeve:

The traffic interfering with the natural enjoyment of Yorkville;

Raffaele proposes that for the summer months Yorkville streets be legally closed to traffic, a gazebo installed in the centre and people free to socialize and enjoy everything Yorkville has to offer!
